A 15-year-old black and white cat has written her Christmas letter to ‘Santa Paws’ asking for a loving home for Christmas.
The golden oldie cat came into the care of the RSPCA Solent Branch in Portsmouth in July as her previous owner had sadly passed away.
Sadly, Farrah was suffering from hyperthyroid when she came into the RSPCA which made her behaviour quite unpredictable as she was clearly feeling very sorry for herself. Since having a thyroidectomy she is now much calmer and happier.
Kate Luxford, Cattery Supervisor at RSPCA Stubbington Ark, said: “All Farrah wants for Christmas is a warm and cosy home to call her own. She is looking for a special someone to share her twilight years with so when she was asked to put together her Christmas list for ‘Santa Paws’, all Farrah asked for was a forever home.
“We have been working very closely with Farrah and she has started to thrive with the help of some treats. She’s a real foodie! She can be an absolute sweetheart who enjoys some gentle fuss but will let you know when she’s had enough.
“Her new owners will need to be patient and loving and have some experience with cat behaviour and understand that she doesn’t want to be over-handled. Her favourite thing to do is to rub around your legs when you’re sitting in a chair. She could do this all day long!”
Farrah will need an adult-only household and would like to be the only pet in the home. She would also like an owner who will be around most of the time as she is very content to just sit next to you and relax for most of the day.
If you think you can give Farrah a loving home, please contact the RSPCA Solent branch (Stubbington Ark) on 01329 667541.
