About Me

I began my veterinary nursing career in 1991 as a trainee in a small animal practice in Surrey. After qualifying, I moved to Yorkshire where I worked in a large mixed practice, progressing to Head Nurse before relocating to Germany with my husband during his time in the Forces.

Following further moves to Devon and then the North West, I continued to build my career across both clinical and leadership roles. These included positions as Veterinary Nurse, VN Assessor, Practice Manager, and later VNAC Co-ordinator at Myerscough College.

In 2007, I began working with Anthony Chadwick, initially as Nurse Manager and then Practice Manager. During this time, The Webinar Vet was established. As the business grew, I transitioned into the role of Operations Manager, overseeing CPD delivery for veterinary surgeons, nurses, and SQPs, while also supporting dermatology referral clients and continuing to work in practice.

In 2016, I founded Malex Consulting Ltd, where I work with small businesses to improve their online presence, systems, email deliverability, and marketing automation, alongside continuing locum veterinary nursing.

I have also been actively involved in professional representation. I joined British Veterinary Nursing Association Council in 2016, served as President from 2017 to 2019, and completed my term in 2020. This role gave me the opportunity to contribute to the development and progression of the veterinary nursing profession at a national level.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of veterinary practice, education, and business systems. Through my platforms, I focus on supporting veterinary professionals with access to CPD, while helping businesses build more effective and sustainable systems behind the scenes.
