British Veterinary Receptionist Association rings the changes

Kay Watson-Bray, CEO of the British Veterinary Receptionist Association (BVRA), has announced exciting plans for 2023 with a new learning LMS and website, new CPD, and new professional logo which reflects the growing status of the Association. BVRA now has a membership of over 6500 across corporate and independent practice and has been instrumental both in raising the profile of veterinary receptionists and creating the Register of Registered Veterinary Receptionists (RVRs).

February will see the launch of a new Foundation Course for veterinary receptionists, which will cover the structure of the profession, operational matters affecting reception, communication skills, preventative health, and more. There are also new farm animal and equine modules available for receptionists working in those areas.

Further CPD will be available at an intermediate and advanced level to enable receptionists to join the Register. Those who previously graduated and are already on the Register will retain their status.

Kay commented, “I’m really excited to take BVRA forward into the next stage of its evolution, with the full support of the existing Council and our current President Jaime Kiem. We have an amazing membership, full of knowledge and enthusiasm and it is really important that we continue to build on the great work that has been done to bring us to this point.”
