BVA will host the first BVA Awards Dinner this November to spotlight the achievements of exceptional veterinary professionals.
The event will replace BVA’s Gala Dinner, bringing together the presentation of four of its prestigious awards at a single event.
Awards presented on the night, which also includes a drinks reception sponsored by Lloyd & Whyte, and dinner and dancing, will be:
- BVA Young Vet of the Year Award, supported by Zoetis
- BVA Wellbeing Awards, supported by MSD Animal Health UK
- BVA Outstanding Service Award (Chiron Award)
- BVA Advancement of Veterinary Science Award (Dalrymple-Champneys Award)
British Veterinary Association President Anna Judson said: “The veterinary profession has been under intense scrutiny in past months, as the impact of the cost-of-living crisis and XL Bully ban began to be felt, swiftly followed by the Competition and Markets Authority announcing its review into the sector. However, we know how dedicated our vet teams are and how hard they work as well as how important it is to highlight achievements and commitment. BVA Awards is a fantastic opportunity to come together as a profession to celebrate our inspiring members and Team Vet as a whole.”
The BVA Awards Dinner takes place on Thursday 14 November 2024 at the five-star London Marriott Hotel Canary Wharf – which is just 10 minutes from London ExCeL, where the London Vet Show is being held on 14 and 15 November.
