Anaesthetic Refresher for General Practice

Course Overview

The course covers all the information needed to perform routine anaesthesia, from admittance to discharge of the patient. There will be a section on basic physiology of anaesthesia, as a means of introducing the topic. Different types of equipment, breathing systems and scavenging will be discussed, as will the use of intravenous fluids. Analgesic techniques such as constant rate infusions and the use of local anaesthesia will also be covered.
