Course Overview

This course will look at dealing with the presentation of emergency patient and how we can accurately assess and prioritise treatment for patients, along with looking at some common organ system presentations and specific indications for treatment, including the placement of tubes and drains.

Module 1. Triage and Initial Patient Assessment
Module 2. Shock and Emergency Fluid Therapy
Module 3. Dealing with respiratory emergencies
Module 4. Nursing Care of the Renal and Urinary Emergency
Modules 5. Dealing with traumatic wounds and fractures

Course format

This course runs over a three week period and takes about 8 hours to complete. The course is composed of a series of modules, with each module containing a webinar, notes to download and keep, plus clinical cases to test your understanding. There is a busy course forum where you can ask the tutor questions and debate topics relevant to your daily practice.

At the end of the three week period, you retain access to the course for a further 11 months, giving you unlimited access for a full year in total! All courses are completed with an MCQ exam, giving you 8 Hours of CPD.
