Coughing is a common presentation in general practice, with a wide ranging list of differential diagnoses and an expanding list of treatment options. More recent evidence has the potential to change our understanding of chronic respiratory disease in dogs too, through the consideration of aerodigestive disorders.
In this course, we will review the common diagnostic tests available to investigate respiratory disease in dogs and cats and how to utilise them effectively. We will also review the pathophysiology of respiratory disorders and relevant treatment options, as well as discussing updates on the approach to respiratory disease in dogs. By the end of this course, it is hoped that you will more confident in the diagnostic approach to and treatment of respiratory cases in general practice.
