Vetstream is pleased to announce the integration of new contextualised care resources, created by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Knowledge into its leading online veterinary reference tool, Vetlexicon. These resources are designed to empower veterinary professionals by providing them with tools and guidance to deliver care that is tailored to the unique needs of each patient, enhancing both clinical outcomes and client satisfaction.
The Contextualised Care Resources, developed by RCVS Knowledge, are built on evidence-based veterinary practice, combining clinical expertise with the most relevant and best available scientific evidence, patient circumstances, and caregiver/owner circumstances and acknowledges that it is appropriate to offer different pathways of care in different circumstances.
With the increasing interest in providing appropriate levels of veterinary care, Vetstream is delighted to include these contextualised care resources into Vetlexicon’s comprehensive database of clinical point of care content. They are available to subscribers via the search function and also in the Client Information category and offer veterinary teams the ability to adapt standard care protocols to the individual circumstances of their patients, taking into account factors such as medical history, living environment, and owner preferences.
Key Features of the New Resources:
- Adaptive Care Guidelines: Customisable protocols that allow veterinarians to tailor treatments based on the specific context of each case, ensuring more personalised and effective care.
- Real-World Case Studies: Examples from veterinary practice demonstrate how contextualised care can be applied to different scenarios, offering practical insights and best practices.
- Client Communication Enhancements: Tools and strategies included to help veterinarians communicate more effectively with pet owners, fostering a better understanding of the care being provided and encouraging collaborative decision-making.
Dr. Mark Johnston MRCVS, CEO of Vetstream, commented:
