The British Veterinary Dental Association and The British Veterinary Nursing Association have joined forces again to offer a bite sized course worth 9 hours of CPD!

The programme, proudly supported by Pedigree, aims to provide nurses with the knowledge and skills to deliver effective oral care clinics, drive awareness of oral health and identify pets that are in need of oral care attention.
To enrol and gain the Certificate you will need to be an RVN and complete all 4 modules of the online course. This includes a series of webinars, instructional videos, short tasks, MCQ assessments and a final assessment paper. If you are still currently working in practice you will need to be able to undertake a dental examination on an animal under anaesthetic. Please note that the animal does not need to be undergoing a dental procedure.
Candidates will need to achieve a minimum of 70% in the end of module assessments and the final MCQ assessment in order to achieve the Oral Care Nurse Certificate.

- Dental and Oral Anatomy
- Periodontal Disease and dental treatment options
- Oral Care Nurse Clinics and Principles of Home Care
- Instrument Care
All the course content is online, including the assessment process.
