High Risk Anaesthesia in General Practice

Course Overview

This course will look at anaesthesia of canine and feline patients that are considered to be of higher than normal risk, either because of disease, age or anatomical variation. For example, anaesthesia of brachycephalic patients, geriatric, paediatric, trauma and various disease states will all be covered. Drug effects on different conditions will be discussed, as will the use of intravenous fluids. Real life case studies will be provided throughout the course.
