Speaker: Chloe Little FdSc RVN ISFMCertFN DipNCS(RVNCons)
Chloe qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2015, having worked in first opinion practice since 2011, including RCVS-accredited hospitals and general practices. Her passion for client support and consulting began as a student and has been a central focus throughout her career, fostering strong client-practice relationships to enhance patient care. She gained the ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing in 2020 and the Diploma in Veterinary Nurse Consulting from Colourful CPD in 2025. Chloe has held leadership positions, including Head of Nurse Consulting, before progressing to her current role as Head Nurse, where she continues to champion client care and team development.
Lecture Synopsis:
Nurse-led consultations are a vital opportunity to strengthen client relationships, improve patient outcomes, and showcase the unique skills of veterinary nurses. Yet, many nurses feel uncertain about their approach or struggle to maximise the value of these appointments. In this engaging and practical session, Chloe draws on over a decade of experience to share strategies for building confidence, enhancing communication, and structuring consultations for success. Whether you’re a student veterinary nurse starting your consulting journey or an experienced RVN wanting to refine your skills, you’ll leave with practical tools and renewed confidence to deliver impactful, client-focused consultations in practice.

Joy Shutt BSc(Hons) RVN C-SQP Cert&DipNCS(RVNCons) Joy is part of a team of BVNA Advocates, organising CPD for veterinary nurses, both online and in and around North Wales. She is the Head Nurse in a first opinion practice, with a diploma in veterinary nurse consulting. She enjoys everything cats, nurse clinics, anaesthesia and minor surgical procedures, advocating for effective nurse utilisation. Joy is a veterinary nurse course assessor for Colourful CPD and she is also starting a volunteer role with The Cinnamon Trust in 2025. |
