She has been a veterinary consultant for Zoetis since 2020, more recently moving into the role of National Veterinary Manager for the pain portfolio. She has particular clinical interests in anaesthesia, analgesia and geriatric medicine and is passionate about improving the quality of life for dogs and cats through effective management of chronic conditions.

Lecture Synopsis:

Osteoarthritis is the most common cause of chronic pain in all species. The negative effects from this disease have a wide ranging impact upon affected animals and significantly affects their quality of life, yet it still remains underdiagnosed and under treated. Everyone within the practice team can play an important part in both driving diagnosis and optimising the long term management for these patients. This webinar will focus on how a team approach can be employed to maximise patient outcomes, with particular emphasis on the vital role of the veterinary nurse after diagnosis.

Learning Points:

  • To understand the impact of chronic pain and ways in which common challenges can be mitigated
  • To understand the resources and tools available to help drive diagnosis and optimise disease management strategies
  • To understand how Librela and Solensia can help how we manage OA in our patients
