Who is this course for?

Is this course for me?

As Veterinary nurses we have many different aspects to our job, from Anaesthesia and patient monitoring to running many different clinics.

One area that is becoming a more progressive role of the RVN is helping to monitor treatment responses, particularly in Osteoarthritis clinics.

Objective measurements and reporting are very tricky when dealing with chronic patients. Therefore, we have to do the best job we can with our skills and tools available. One of these measurements to help us monitor progress is doing a gait assessment on our patients.

Gait assessments are one piece of the puzzle when monitoring but they can help us in many ways. they can help us to identify areas of pain, weakness, compensation, areas of improvement from treatment and much more.

Accurately doing a gait assessment is a skill that takes lots of practice.

Join Emily our resident rehabilitation RVN whilst she takes you on a deep dive into the why’s and how’s of practical gait assessments in veterinary practice, and how you can get on-board with gait assessments with your patients in clinic.
